Welcome to the Cafe Femenino Coffee List. If you wish to add your email to the list we can then email you when we have a fresh shipment in. Cafe Femenino is coffee grown on farms owned by women in South America, and then sold to benefit a women's organization. When you purchase a Cafe Femenino product you are supporting women through the whole supply chain. It has been found that when women own and run businesses, especially in smaller communities, that their profit goes toward the support and development of the entire community; they help to build schools, community gathering places, support groups. At the growers end the coffee farmers receive $0.02/lb above the going price of coffee for their beans and at the selling end $4.00 from every pound of Cafe Femenino coffee goes to a women's organization in this case the Kelowna Women's Resource Centre. The KWRC is a non profit society that provides; assistance and referrals, internet access, telephone and fax service, clothing, toiletries, and a supportive community place for the women of Kelowna and surrounding area to use.
